Education
Eurorelief believes that education is a key factor for the empowerment of refugees within the camps. Many of them face difficulties and obstacles in their new environment, especially as many children and women come from cultures that do not value their education. Eurorelief provides them with classes in English, math and art, which helps to empower them to acquire the skills and confidence they need to adapt and thrive in their host country.
They also learn to express themselves and their aspirations through creative activities. For many of the girls and women, education is a way of restoring their rights and identity, which could’ve been denied or suppressed in their home countries. They learn to read and write their own names and their children's names, which fills them with much pride and joy. Education is not only a survival tool, but also a source of hope and dignity for the refugees. By supporting Eurorelief's educational programs, you are contributing to resident’s well-being and potential.
Eurorelief seeks to raise 5,300 euros in 2025 for educational programs in the camp on Lesvos. Your donations provide supplies for the educational activities and books and resources for the library.
Eurorelief is supported through the charitable giving of individuals, businesses, churches and other charities.
