Skills/Vocational Training
Eurorelief's Skills Area is a vital service for the people living inside camp. It provides them with the chance to learn some vocational skills that are in demand in the European job market. By doing so, they find an activity with purpose and value as they wait for their asylum status to be decided. They can also begin to prepare for potential future work in the country where they will settle.
Learning vocational skills is not only important for their economic well-being, but also for their psychological and social well-being. It empowers them to regain their dignity and self-respect, which may have been damaged by the many hardships they’ve faced. It also empowers them to adapt to their new culture, become self-reliant and productive members of society, while contributing to their host country's economic growth.
Eurorelief seeks to raise 1,000 euros to continue providing training and resettlement preparation.
Eurorelief is supported through the charitable giving of individuals, businesses, churches and other charities.
