Crocs for Samos
2024, February
After a successful fundraising campaign, we provided over 1000 pairs of crocs to adult men. December was a quieter month as we intentionally slowed down and took time to reflect in anticipation of Christmas. However, hospital rides were as busy as ever. What used to be a high number for us is now our daily average.
We still don’t have enough vans for the amount of hospital ride requests, and the transportation of teams has become quite a burden for shift leaders and drivers. January became a month of planning as we geared up to start new programs, like the New Arrivals Free Clothing Shop.
We’ve received permission to distribute a basic set of clothing to new arrivals, and lately been seeing how a good working relationship with the logistics department in camp has created a mutual benefit. We are very thankful that our programs continue to grow, and our scope in camp is steadily expanding.
